How do you calculate how long you have been together?
Count the calendar days from your start date to today. For years and months, count complete years first, then complete months, then the remaining days. That is why a couple together since January 31 reaches one month on the last day of February.

Use the date that means the most to the two of you, such as your first date, the day you became official or your first kiss. There is no rule, so you can also pick one and keep the others as separate milestones.
